"There were several impulses to the idea of ​​doing things differently. I started to enjoy architecture, and thanks to Adam Gebrian and his programs, I began to perceive that it could look something like that and that a creation evokes feelings in a person. I went to Designblok for the first time, where I saw the design progress of the TON brand, the Stockholm chair, including its creative presentation, or the Swiss furniture manufacturer Yask. It was square, earthy, beautiful! Since then, I have been thinking about how to get the product to Designblok. The architect Zdeněk Fránek, for whom they had made something years ago, played a big role in this. He showed me how to look at the world from a design perspective. He was full of ideas and inspiration, and I was stupid and didn't even know what he was talking about. Coincidentally, we met for a few days in New York at that time, where he showed me all the interesting and significant buildings by famous architects that I had never heard of before. When I got home, I lay in my books for two months trying to read everything. I had to "I wanted to catch up on my ignorance, so I found out everything that was happening everywhere. Because I never wanted to experience that feeling of not knowing anything again."

You collaborated on the design with Zdeněk Fránek, Maxim Velčovský or Klára Šumová. Why did you go straight to the local design elite? “We knew that it was better to turn to experts and when you are just starting out, to the best. We entrusted the visuals to the Najbrt studio, the showroom to the architects from the Mjölk studio, and we continue to do so even with small things, such as the New Year's greeting card. This year it was created by the promising artist Černý 85. Personally, I have always been close to giving even ordinary things artistic value through creative souls.”
